NASA has spent years building a speak up culture where risks and complex issues are brought up and addressed from any level within the organization. They have experienced first hand the impact of not having a speak up culture and they
set out to not only change it, but challenge the status quo. Just as important as speaking up in difficult situations, is knowing when and how to speak up. Even more important, as a leader, is encouraging those in your employ to speak up. Former astronaut
and retired Air Force Col. Rex Walheim will discuss how to encourage a speak up culture, even in space.
